Job Summary

TR Edwards Consultancy is seeking a talented and motivated AI Solutions Developer to play a key role in building and implementing AI automations and models that address the unique needs of small to mid-size businesses. This role focuses on developing, testing, and deploying AI solutions across various domains, including workflow automation, data analytics, and business intelligence, with a strong emphasis on leveraging and configuring existing Generative AI Open-Source Models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI-powered automation solutions across various business functions (e.g., marketing, customer service, internal operations) to drive efficiency and streamline workflows.

  • Build advanced AI automations and models for strategic growth initiatives such as market intelligence, sales acceleration, strategic planning, and financial insights.

  • Configure and leverage existing Generative AI Open-Source Models to accelerate development, enhance solution capabilities, and create content (e.g., social media posts, email templates, FAQs, meeting summaries).

  • Perform custom prompt engineering to optimize AI output and integrate solutions.

  • Provide advanced integration support for complex multi-system integrations.

  • Conduct error monitoring and remediation for automation workflows.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all client solutions (technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data flow pipelines, AI automation/model metrics, deployment procedures, user manuals, version control).

  • Monitor clients' usage of solutions and provide basic to comprehensive AI prompt library updates.

  • Conduct automation performance analytics and develop executive dashboards.

    • Generative AI Application & Customization: Strategically configures, fine-tunes, and leverages Generative AI Open-Source Models for enhanced capabilities and content creation, including advanced custom prompt engineering.

  • Technical Acumen & AI Literacy:

    • Programming & AI Library Mastery: Possesses expert-level programming skills in Python with deep proficiency in key AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).

    • Data Science Fundamentals: Strong understanding and practical experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, AI automation, and model selection across various machine learning techniques.

    • Continuous Learning & Adaptability: Proactively stays updated with AI advancements, particularly in Generative AI, and integrates new methodologies.

  • Proactive Solutioning & Innovation:

    • Anticipatory Design & Feature Development: Proactively identifies potential client pain points and future business needs to develop new AI automations, tools, and methodologies, integrating them into product features or new models.

    • Performance Optimization & Analytics: Conducts thorough automation performance analytics, monitors solution usage, and develops executive dashboards to ensure continuous improvement and impactful results.

  • Documentation & Communication:

    • Exceptional Documentation: Meticulously creates and maintains comprehensive, clear, and accurate technical and user-focused documentation for all client solutions.

    • Clear & Concise Communication: Effectively articulates complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including clients and leadership.

  • Project Management & Client Focus:

    • Independent Work & Project Management: Effectively works autonomously, manages multiple projects concurrently, and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.

    • Client-Centric Approach: Possesses a genuine passion for empowering small businesses with AI, focusing on delivering measurable business impact and fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications (Evidence of Competencies)

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field.

  • Core AI/ML Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 3-5+ years, adjust based on desired seniority) in developing, deploying, and managing AI automations, models, and solutions, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects.

  • Generative AI Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience in configuring, customizing, and leveraging existing Generative AI models for practical applications.

  • Programming Proficiency: Expert-level programming skills in Python, evidenced by a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and efficient code.

  • AI/ML Frameworks & Libraries: In-depth practical experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face Transformers.

  • Workflow Automation Platforms: Essential experience with workflow automation platforms such as Zapier (or comparable technologies like Make.com, n8n, Power Automate).

  • Data Handling & ML Pipeline: Practical experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, training, and evaluation.

  • Machine Learning Techniques: Solid knowledge of various machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).

  • Cloud Platforms (Plus): Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Specialized AI (Preferred): Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, or time series analysis.

  • Database Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with database management and SQL.

  • Agile Methodology (Preferred): Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management principles.

  • Communication & Training: Experience in developing training materials and providing support/guidance to non-technical users on new AI automations and tools.
